I tell my kids to be fearless, so it’s about time I take my own advice! As a patriotic American, I am deeply concerned about the state of our democracy, and feel this is the time to step up!

Why should I be a DNC delegate?

After residing in Japan for the past eight years, I've closely observed the developments in the USA. The possibility of Trump securing another term is deeply unsettling. I'm dedicated to doing everything I can to get out the vote, and I'm eager to play a more active role in supporting the Democratic Party and upholding our shared values.

  1. I am a voice for women and working families.

  2. It's imperative to bolster the American middle class and tax the ultra-rich.

  3. Women must have autonomy over their bodies.

  4. We must restore moral integrity and leadership in politics.

  5. The Citizens United Supreme Court ruling must be overturned; money has no place in politics and is fundamentally anti-democratic."

A Lasting Impression

Meeting President Obama was an unforgettable moment, one filled with inspiration and admiration for his leadership.

His vision for a more inclusive and compassionate America resonated deeply with me, and it reinforced my commitment to continuing his legacy of progress and unity. As I shook his hand and exchanged a few words, I felt a sense of responsibility to contribute to the betterment of our society in any way I could.

"Thanks for speaking up!"

I know and respect Kristi as someone with high integrity, ethical conduct, and commitment to the party, which is crucial for a delegate's role in maintaining the credibility and legitimacy of the process. Kristi will ensure the party's interests are met in the actions and decisions propelling the party forward.  Kristi has spent the last eight years in Japan with her family, working and volunteering for meaningful causes. She has worked with HOPE International Development Agency Japan, working with the world’s extremely poor to help them meet fundamental needs, assisting over 20 million people since its founding in 1974. In this endeavor, Kristi has exhibited the values of Democratic leadership, a key asset for her engagement in helping put forward the best platform and candidates for the DNC’s future, especially with a familiar eye on the Asia Pacific delegation's insight.
